Inaugural Monte Sano Pool and Civic Association Charity Chili Cookout!

Get ready to spice up your Saturday! We’re excited to announce our Annual Charity Chili Cookout, where you can enjoy delicious chili, great company, and support a wonderful cause.

Date: Saturday, November 2nd

Time: Gates Open at 9am; Tastings starts at 3pm.

Location: Monte Sano Pool

Charity theme: From our Mountain to Yours. All proceeds will be donated to relief efforts for those in Western North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene.

What to Expect:

• People’s Choice Cook-Off Chili Tasting: Think your chili has what it takes to win? Enter our cook-off for a chance to take home the coveted title of Chili Champion! $10 gets you 10 tokens and unlimited tastings. The team with the most tokens takes it all! Can you stuff your own pot? Absolutely.

Can you shamelessly solicit others with bribes. YES.

This is for charity. Bring all shenanigans. They are encouraged and supported.

• Live Music: 3-6pm Enjoy tunes with your mountain fiends. (Friends too)

• College Football: Multiple games cycled throughout the day

Entry Fee: None… But make enough to feed everyone!

How to Get Involved:

• Participants: Show up and throw down. Doors open at 9am. Bring your camp kitchen, Pop up tent, coolers and best smack talking. Of just show up at tasting time with your chili and sweep it all!

• Volunteers: We need helping hands! Let us know if you want up to assist. This is not a staffed event, so we need everyone’s help in keeping the grounds tidy! We want to do this again next year!
